2023 Subaru Solterra-The Subaru Solterra is the brand’s first electric vehicle, and it comes standard with all-wheel drive. Subaru and Toyota collaborated to build the platform for this compact SUV, which will also underpin the Toyota bZ4X and other future models. The Solterra boasts a variety of off-road features as well as a number of regular driver aids, with projected driving ranges of 222 to 228 miles. While there isn’t much competition for the 2023 Solterra in the non-luxury EV compact-ute sector right now, that could change in the next year or so.

The Solterra’s battery pack has a gross capacity of 72.8 kWh, according to Subaru. Ones with 18-inch wheels are said to have a range of 228 miles, while models with 20s are said to have a range of 222 miles. Subaru claims that the Solterra’s inbuilt 6.6-kWh charger can recharge the battery in nine hours when plugged into a Level 2 charging station. If you connect it to a 100-kW DC fast charger, an 80-percent charge should take around 56 minutes.
2023 Subaru Solterra Price & Release date
Subaru hasn’t revealed pricing & launching for the 2023 Solterra, but we expect it to be similar to the Toyota bZ4X, which we believe to start in the mid-$30,000s or low-$40,000s.
