While Dodge has yet to release any official photographs or video of the 2023 Hornet, spy shots from an Alfa Romeo plant in Italy revealed a Hornet with a front end and interior that resembled the Tonale’s design. Reshaped headlamps, a Dodge emblem on the steering wheel, and additional vents are among the differences between the two variants.

The interior of the 2023 Hornet has yet to be revealed by Dodge. If the future SUV’s overall design is similar to the Tonale, it will have a sporty, premium appearance. The Hornet will have a luxurious aesthetic thanks to its tiered dashboard, slim row of HVAC controls, and infotainment display mounted onto the dashboard. The Hornet might have huge shift paddles, a visible drive mode selection, and a thick steering wheel to add to its sportiness.There’s no word on what kind of technology the 2023 Dodge Hornet will be equipped with. It’s very likely that the Hornet will have the same features as the Tonale. A 10.3-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Amazon Alexa compatibility, Google Assistant connectivity, and the Uconnect 5 infotainment system are all expected to be offered on the Hornet.

The 2023 Dodge Hornet could have the same two powertrain options as the 2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale, according to Car and Driver. A turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine with a nine-speed automated transmission is the first powertrain option. It has a 256-horsepower and 295-pound-feet torque output.A plug-in hybrid is the second drivetrain choice (PHEV). It has a 180-hp turbocharged 1.3-liter inline four-cylinder at the front wheels and a 121-hp electric motor at the back wheels, for a total system output of 273 hp. The Tonale PHEV boasts an estimated 30 miles of electric-only driving range thanks to its plug-in hybrid technology, which is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.All Tonale versions come with all-wheel drive, but it’s unclear whether the Hornet will have it as well. In addition, the Hornet’s base engine could be less powerful. As a result, the Hornet, a more mainstream model, would be less expensive than the Tonale, which is more geared toward luxury.
