2023 Toyota bZ4X-Toyota released the official map of the mass production version of its pure electric SUV model bZ4X a few days ago. The new car will be released in mid-2022 and is based on the e-TNGA platform.
2023 Toyota bZ4X Design
The new car’s design is based on the shape of the previously released concept car, and the front face features a closed air intake grille, which is a prevalent design language for pure electric vehicles. The headlamps on both sides have a more angular form. The interior is darkened and joined by chrome strips, effectively stretching the front face’s horizontal perceived breadth.The lower enclosing component has a three-stage design with vertical ventilation slots on both sides and a polygonal air inlet design in the middle. The inside is adorned with decorative strips in the shape of banners, which creates a strong visual effect.
In terms of side style, the overall line feels harsher, and the roof line is rather straight, but a slip-back shape is formed from the C-pillar to the rear, taking into mind the rear passengers’ head space and the impression of movement. To create a powerful cross-border ambience, the external mirrors, ornamental bands surrounding the windows, wheel eyebrows, and side skirts have all been blacked.
The tail light group uses a through-type design for the tail, which effectively widens the horizontal optical width of the tail. The roof has a hollowed-out rear wing, and the top of the trunk has a blackened small-sized rear wing, both of which contribute significantly to the impression of movement. The lower enclosing part’s shape is similarly more radical and has a sense of hierarchy to it.The new car’s dimensions are 4689/1859/1648mm in length, width, and height, with a 2850mm wheelbase.
2023 Toyota bZ4X Interior
The new car’s interior features a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a full LCD instrument panel, a suspended central control screen, and an electronic shift mechanism, all in keeping with Toyota’s family design philosophy. The sense of science and technology is performing reasonably well.
2023 Toyota bZ4X Powertrain
The new car comes in two powertrain options: two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. A front single motor with a maximum output of 150kW is used in the two-wheel drive variant. It’s paired with a 71,4kWh battery pack that has a cruise range of 402 kilometers according to the EPA. Dual front and back motors are included in the four-wheel-drive variant. A single motor’s maximum power is 80kW, while the combined maximum power is 160kW. It comes with a battery pack that has a capacity of 72.8 kWh. The cruising range is yet to be revealed.
2023 Toyota bZ4X Price & Release date
Toyota is planning to release the production version of the 2023 bZ4X in mid-2022.Toyota hasn’t revealed the price of the bZ4X, but we estimate it to start in the upper $30,000s, with equipped vehicles topping $40,000.
