More trims will now come standard with several capabilities, including Dynamic Voice Recognition, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. But inside the 2023 Tucson, no significant design changes are anticipated.The latest Tucson has not yet undergone a crash test by the IIHS, but we do know that it comes standard with active lane control, rear occupant alerts, and automatic front emergency braking. The 2022 Tucson has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine as standard equipment, and it is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission to provide 187 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. The 180-hp turbocharged 1.6-liter engine in the hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants will replace that one, producing a total of 226 hp when coupled with electric motors. A six-speed automatic transmission handles this power. Front-wheel drive is standard on the Tucson base model, although all-wheel drive is an option. All-wheel drive is standard on hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles. We anticipate that the Tucson’s powertrain options will not change in 2023.
