The turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine produces 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. Despite the fact that both motors suffer turbo lag, the cars have enough mid-range torque to appear attractive. Throughout our testing, the 1.3-liter engine and CVT in the Buick Encore GX performed admirably.
