The xDrive40i and the M60i are the two trim levels for the BMW X7. The 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine in the xDrive40i has been modified to produce 375 horsepower and up to 398 pound-feet of torque when combined with the electricity from a 48V mild hybrid system with adaptive brake energy recovery. The M60i (formerly M50i) receives a brand-new, 4.4-liter turbocharged V8 engine that is dubbed a “real M engine.” 523 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque are produced, and a mild hybrid system is also included in the powertrain. A new eight-speed transmission that delivers quicker shifts and greater synchronization with the electrically driven systems is included in both variants.

With a forecasted starting price of $77,850 MSRP for the X7 xDrive40i and $103,100 MSRP for the X7 M60i, the 2023 BMW X7 is scheduled to go on sale in late 2022.
