2023 KIA Niro–From a design standpoint, the second-generation Kia Niro differs significantly from its predecessor, with designers taking a bolder style inspired by the 2019 HabaNiro concept. There are also indications in the current Sportage, particularly on sturdy shoulders, upright windows, and interiors. The pillar C, which is painted a different color than the rest of the car, isn’t just for show; Kia claims it improves airflow and thus aerodynamics.

The rear of Niro’s new design is what makes it stand out. If you’re like me, the contrast strip between the taillights and the C-pillars is the first thing that comes to mind. Kia claims that its design combines simple surface treatments with dynamic sections to emphasize modernity and appeal to a wider audience. The HabaNiro concept inspired the C pillar strip. Thankfully, it softened from the start of the concept. The rear is very plain, save from the little rear lights that blend in with the back and the bottom bumper that seems like it was ripped from another car and set upside down.

2023 KIA Niro Interior
The interior has also been entirely overhauled and now has a dashboard layout that is identical to that of the new Sportage.Kia’s side-by-side screens, infotainment with separate buttons for climate settings and other functions, are already familiar to us.We prefer this arrangement since it allows us to quickly access certain amenities without having to explore the menu. The Niro’s clumsy gear levers were earlier replaced with sleeker rotary knobs that freed up more room at the center console’s bottom.Physical buttons for heated and ventilated seats, heated steering wheels, auto-hold functions, and parking assistance systems flank the redesigned shifter.
